DAILY ARRIVAL For the first week of school, please print and pin a name tag on your child with Name, Telephone, and Present Age. Parents, please wait with your child until the bell rings. A teacher will then lead the children into the classroom. Although allowances are made in some cases, we ask that the parents do not accompany their child into the classroom. The sooner you leave, the quicker the child will adjust to their new environment. Encourage your child to stand in line upon arrival in the lobby. We also suggest arrival no earlier than ten minutes before the session starts. Some children become restless while waiting. Students are to hang their coats and jackets on the coat rack ill the outer lobby. To avoid any mix-ups, we suggest that you label your child's outerwear. Morning session time is
9:00-11:30 a.m. Afternoon session time is 12:30-3:00 p.m. MONTHLY TUITION Your September tuition must be paid on registration day or prior to the first day of school. No child will be allowed to start school unless the tuition obligations are met. Tuition is to be paid in advance during the first week of each month, either by check or cash. A receipt will be given to you each month. In the event of a returned check, you will be responsible for the extra bank charges. To avoid any late fees, tuition should be paid by the 10th of each month. (Please pay tuition in the school office.) There are no tuition deductions for one-day holidays. However, tuition is adjusted to reflect the two recesses in the school year.
SNACKS and FOOD No food or gum is allowed in the school lobby. No gum is permitted in the classroom. Lunch boxes are not necessary to bring to school unless your child requires a special diet for snack time. A snack time is observed during school hours and is provided by the school. However, students may bring in cookies, etc. to share with their classmates. If your child has a birthday during the school year, you may bring in cup cakes or anything special to celebrate the occasion. (Please arrange in advance with the school director.)
ATTENDANCE Please call the school if your child will be absent from class. If your child is absent, Make-up Days are usually on Friday and should be scheduled within the same month as the absence. Please arrange in advance with the director.
DAILY DISMISSAL IMPORTANT: WE WILL NOT release your child to anyone other than the parent or legal guardian, unless there are special instructions or a letter given in advance to the school. Morning session will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m., and the afternoon session will be dismissed at 3:00 p.m. Children will be brought to the lobby for dismissal as parents arrive. It is not necessary to come to the classroom to meet your child. Parent, please be on time for dismissal. If you foresee a delay, please call the school.
